A pro
footballer waits for his girlfriend, a popular singer who performs
in beautiful sign language.
He
doesnt know what is going to happen that special night when
they meet at a bar.
The actress
has just come into London in between her tours and is staying at
a hotel in London.
Putting
together a dynamic build up of the story as the song develops, with
explosive performers and the trademark cheekiness of Memnos Costi,
together with the steaming sexy radiation of Semhar Beyene comes
together to meet in this powerful visual film of love as they perform
in sign song.
Director
Ramon Woolfe from Remark! Films provides Producer Andrew Stibbs
with his first highly anticipated signed song which celebrates the
classic song, "Something Stupid". The song was originally
written C.Carson Parks who wrote the lyrics for Frank and Nancy
Sinatra to record. The song was revitalised by Robbie Willams and
Nicole Kidman in their own version.
Something
Stupid: Signed' pays homage to Frank Sinatra and Robbie Willams
and the ladies in their lifes, it adds new innovative visuals.
Without Frank Sinatra and Robbie Willams and their companies who
helped promote the song, this film wouldnt have been produced.
A
small cast came together to produce this new film, including Sarron
Eyob and Tom van Berckel taking on roles with the video.
Locations were provided by Radisson Edwardian hotel, and the Grand
Central Bar in Great Eastern Street in Old Street.
Refreshments were kindly provided by NimCom Soup! Special thanks
goes to Nezar Abul-ela and Thomas Page Philip.
Something Stupid Signed! will be released in the spring of 2003
at film festivals starting in London before Amsterdam and Denmark.

The
Lyric
I know I stand in line, until you think you have the time
To spend an evening with me
And if we go someplace to dance, I know that there's a chance
You won't be leaving with me
And
afterwards we drop into a quiet little place
And have a drink or two
And then I go and spoil it all, by saying something stupid like,
"I love you"
I
can see it in your eyes, that you despise the same old lies
You heard the night before
And though it's just a line to you, for me it's true
It never seemed so right before
I
practice every day to find some clever lines to say
To make the meaning come through
But then I think I'll wait until the evening gets late
And I'm alone with you
The
time is right your perfume fills my head, the stars get red
And oh the night's so blue
And then I go and spoil it all, by saying something stupid like,
"I love you"
I love you, I love you,...
